Here's How We Work
At SpeakMoveShake, people are on their feet speaking as soon and as often as possible. The essence of both our service and our product is feedback, together with practice targeted on each individual's own particular needs. SpeakMoveShake's courses are productive and fun!
People can take in only so much during a one-day course. It's pointless to load people with a mass of new information they will have little if any chance to practise, and will forget within a day.
The best way to learn and improve speaking and presentation skills is by doing, not by absorbing hours and hours of theory delivered by Powerpoint, flipcharts, handouts and ringbinders. That way lies overwhelming boredom, deep, deep sleep, and a waste of time and money!
SpeakMoveShake does not overload its course particpants. We seek to build gradually, helping people take just one step at a time as they move incrementally towards their personal goals, each step moving naturally on to the next.
At SpeakMoveShake, we seek to draw out and develop each participant's own unique personality, not beat and bash them into a pre-determined model. We are not churning out a mass-produced product, like the great Henry Ford's cars - all the same shape and all the same colour. We help people to find their own voice, to be themselves, and to become their best - their very, very best.
SpeakMoveShake keeps the structure simple, the learning easy, and the experience fun. But enough of the philosophy!
SpeakMoveShake offers intensive courses lasting from one to three days, at beginner, intermediate or advanced levels. The ideal number of course participants in a group is 8 to 10, although we can readily cater for more by creating any number of additional and separate coaching groups, each with its own coach. SpeakMoveShake has a network of experienced independent coaches to call upon whenever necessary.
We also provide one-to-one coaching, at all levels, either in the workplace or privately. Private coaching is usually at a venue provided by the client.
SpeakMoveShake's ongoing courses may last for many weeks or months. They may be one-day a week, a half-day a week, or one or more evenings a week. These courses are available both to groups and one-to-one.
For private clients we can attend an event where the client is speaking, listen to their speech or presentation and provide feedback and advice. The feedback and advice session can be either immediately afterwards or, if it's more convenient, at a later date. This service is particularly useful for people such as politicians, corporate executives and celebrities, who may deliver a speech or presentation during a busy day yet have no time to review it until a day or so later.
